What is Teaching, Testing and Tutoring? (Tcubed) Jo Lindberg is a former home school mom whose son has successfully entered college. She is teaching prealgebra, algebra I, geometry, algebra II, precalculus, and calculus classes for college bound home school students in the Austin area. She has also tutored both home school and public school students in math from elementary school through high school. In the spring of every year, Jo, along with another home school colleague, administers the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) to home school students. Where are classes taught? Classes will be taught in north Austin, south Austin and central Austin in the 2011-2012 school year. |
Where is tutoring held? Jo has tutored at her own home or in the home of students or in libraries or at restaurants even. She has tutored both home school and public school students for both academic classes and the PSAT and SAT tests. Jo has incorporated Skype tutoring into her life this past year. This can be done at different times with no travel involved. What about standardized testing? Every spring, Jo,
and another home schooling colleague, offer the Iowa Test of Basic
Skills (ITBS) to home school students in the Austin area. The test is
offered to 3rd graders through 8th graders in both north and south
Austin locations. |
