Pre-algebra Readiness - This course is designed for those students who are not quite ready for pre-algebra and need to get a better grasp of working with integers, fractions, decimals, ratios and proportions, and percents. $45 per month Pre-algebra - Concepts covered in this course are
integers, positive and negative numbers, fractions, expressions & equations, decimals, inequalities, ratios,
proportions, percents, square roots and finally,
graphing and linear and quadratic functions. $45 per month Algebra I - Algebra I covers the essentials needed for
success in other math classes with humor, real life examples, and
structured exercises to make the student think. It applies the
algebra rather than just rote memorization of a string of facts. The author builds the skills from the ground up so the student can see all the aspects of each technique learned. $45 per month Geometry - Geometry is everywhere. Pyramids, building
blocks, ice cream cones, playground balls, and soft drink cans, to
name a few, are all geometry. The author makes the geometry come
alive with real life examples, well thought out problems, humor, and
discussions that capture the students' interest. To quote directly
from the author, "In addition to using inductive reasoning
throughout your study of geometry to discover what is true, you will
also learn how to reason deductively to be able to understand why." $55 per month |
Algebra II - As a second year algebra course, it is much more than a rehash of the first year. Real life problems are emphasized and thus critical thinking skills are developed in this course. The author challenges the student with problems that combine several mathematical concepts instead of just using the current one in the lesson. It brings it all together to make pre-calculus a review instead of all new material. $55 per month Pre-calculus - Pre-calculus is designed for a full-year
course following Geometry and Algebra II. The purpose is to
familiarize students thoroughly with concepts they will encounter in
a subsequent Calculus course. This course spends a great deal of time covering trigonometric concepts and applications. Then the rest of the time is spent covering mathematical models and deepening the students understanding of applying concepts learned here and in previous coursework. $60 per month
Calculus - A standard first course in calculus. Topics
include inequalities; functions; limits; continuity; the derivative;
differentiation of elementary functions;
applications of the derivative; the integral; integration of
algebraic functions and the sine and cosine functions; numerical
integration; and basic applications of the integral. $60 per month
